History
Route 385 is derived from the former
Route 23, which went from Plaster Rock to Nictau and was redesignated in
1965. A new road was constructed from Nictau to Mount Carleton
Provincial Park when it was developed in the 1960s, which officially
became part of 385 when it was paved and upgraded in the 1990s.
